During masters study at university, we have spent time looking at different aspects of media arts. One that has interested me most is that of interactive art and the tools and techniques that goes along with it. One project which I have worked on was adding a digital form of interactivity to “Immersive Obsolescence” project via the Wii Mote. Using OSC we transmitted data from the device to the mac (OSCluator) the used software to control visual elements of the piece (Processing). The piece worked to provided that first set of digital interaction for the piece. however, after further discussion I intended to extend the piece into a fully digital interaction with a more physical interaction. On reflection, this would connect to the piece far better by adding physicality and tactility of the piece digitally.
